NuVISION Gamma Camera

Last Tuesday, colleagues from NUVIA Instruments GmbH in Germany, welcomed a radiation protection task force unit for a CBRN user training session. The training program included not only the theoretical and physical basics but also practical testing. NuVISION is a compact portable spectrometric gamma camera based on CZT semiconducting detectors, coded aperture and Compton imaging capabilities. The aim is to provide end-users with a complete portable and sensitive system allowing them to not only detect but also measure a dose rate in H*(10), localize the source and identify the radioisotope.
